“St. Basil’s is starting the new year with what we believe is a very timely webinar in our ‘Conversations for Our Times’ series — Dr. David Conn’s presentation, ‘Social Isolation and Loneliness among Older Adults: Let’s Connect!’ We extend a warm invitation to all to join us by Zoom on Sunday January 14th at 2:30.
Social isolation is a problem that is becoming increasingly recognized as a major issue in our society today. We look to Dr. Conn to help us understand how isolation happens and to helps us find ways to overcome the gaps that keep many seniors cut off and feeling alone.
An eminent and award-winning physician in Geriatric Psychiatry, Dr. Conn works at Baycrest Hospital in Toronto and teaches as a professor at the University of Toronto. The founder of the Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health, he brings expertise and insight from his work with seniors across the board, including those in long-term care. We look forward to a challenging and inspiring presentation and discussion with him on Sunday afternoon.”
