Participating in Group Rosary Prayer

Participating in Group Rosary Prayer

At Blessed Sacrament Parish, the calendar lists when Holy Rosary takes place.

Holy Rosary is a special group-oriented reading of rosary prayer. One person will typically lead, reading the first portion of a given prayer, which is then answered by those in attendance.

For example, the speaker might lead with:
Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

…and the others reply by completing the prayer:
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Verse / Response Pairs

In the Holy Rosary concluding prayers, note the following verse and response pairs:

Under “Hail Holy Queen”
(Verse) Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
(Response) That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Under “For the Holy souls in Purgatory”
(Verse) Mary, of the Most Blessed Sacrament and QUEEN OF CLERGY,
(Response) …pray for us.

(Verse) St. Joseph, the Worker,
(Response) …pray for us.

(Verse) St. Michael, the Archangel,
(Response) …pray for us.
